On Sunday March 28, 2010 the Yao Ming Foundation and Museum of Fine
Arts Houston collaborated and joined forces to raise funds for the new
MFAH Arts of China Gallery and ongoing foundation initiatives. Houston
Rockets All Star Yao Ming hosted the event. Farano
was requested to do
a painting of the philanthropist and world iconic star to help raise
funds for Ming's
foundation. The painting was
used in the live auction and sold for 10k. The efforts of the Ming
Foundation are to raise funds to help rebuild the schools who
suffered from the devasting earthquake in Sichuan Province, China as
